Two-time Barry Award nominee and multi-award winning comedian Asher Treleaven returns to the 2011 Melbourne International Comedy Festival for the premiere of his brand new show, Matadoor.
Having picked up five-star reviews and four awards in 2010 alone, including The Age Critics’ Award for his previous show Secret Door, Asher will again trawl his own life experiences in Matadoor.
Who’d have thought that a country childhood of freedom and fear of sheep attack could help him solve some of the great questions in life?
Like a stare down between man and bull, Asher mines the topic of just how facing fears can shape and mould us from a young age, and in doing so provide the quintessential guide for dealing with such things as inadvertent racists, getting lost in the Thai jungle, and essential strip club etiquette. Intelligent, funny and filthy.
