Fox In The Snow has recently promoted the Tim Minchin vs The Orchestra
Tour, touring Australia in February/March of this year. Due to popular demand, the show is returning for an encore tour in Jan/Feb 2012. Having also produced and promoted Tim’s sold out Australian tour ‘Ready For This?’ in 2009, which received the ‘Best Comedy Performer’ award at the Helpmann Awards the same year, the show went on to an encore tour, ‘Ready For This? Returns’ in late 2009-2010.
In November 2011, Fox in the Snow is co-producing the QI and Jonathon Creek star Alan Davies ‘Life is Pain’ tour, with Marnie Foulis. Shows already seen earlier in the year throughout March to May include the much anticipated, hugely successful Irish comedian, comedy gala and TV favourite Jason Byrne in ‘Cirque du Byrne’; Barry Award nominee Asher Treleaven’s critically acclaimed ‘Matador’, the follow up to the multi-award winning ‘Secret Door’; and rising stars Nazeem Hussain and Aamer Rahman in Fear of a Brown Planet ‘Attacks’. Managing Hussain and Rahman as well as producing, Fox in the Snow took a ‘best of’ Fear of a
Brown Planet show to Edinburgh Fringe for their UK debut in August. They also produced ‘Barry Award’ nominee, Canadian DeAnne Smith in Edinburgh for her UK debut. Fox in the Snow also produced Hollywood comic movie-star Jennifer Coolidge, in her critically acclaimed, debut stand up show ‘Yours For The Night’ in June.
In 2010, Fox In The Snow produced and promoted Jason Byrne; the ‘glamorous, sharp-tongued air hostess from hell’ Australian comedienne and international cult icon, Pam Ann in her ‘Aussie Layover’; Irish-American comedy and tv star, Des Bishop’s ‘My Dad Was Nearly James Bond’; and Fear of a Brown Planet ‘Returns’.
Fox In The Snow, has also been programming comedy at The Falls Festival in Lorne and Marion Bay since 2007, adding Southbound Festival in WA to the bill in the summer of 2010. The Falls Festival 2011 comedy lineup is firming up, with Arj Barker and Josh Thomas headlining.
Fox In The Snow is based in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. Bec Sutherland and full-time assistant producer Ailie Freeland who joined the company in 2009, will be working together in all aspects of the business and expanding the company into the future.
